The Acquisition and New Client Experience group is responsible for developing strategies and new capabilities that allow Advisor Services Sales to win new business and to ensure new clients have a best-in-class transition and new client experience. The group is divided into four teams, 2 teams are dedicated to building strategies and programs to win and transition new business ensuring a smooth end to end client experience and the other 2 groups are dedicated to executing on the vision and strategies to transition new clients. Brief Description of Role: The Senior Manager role is responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful contributions to high-level strategic work on client acquisition. The Senior Manager works in a team setting and works with multiple constituents across Schwab Advisor Services. The Senior Manager has responsibility for significant project sections – participating in project definition and idea generation, planning and executing their own work streams for discrete projects or subsets of projects, ensuring quality control of data/research and preparing presentation materials for senior management. The Sr. Manager, Acquisition Strategy will be responsible for: • Define and executing on acquisition strategies in support of Advisor Services growth. • Act as a subject matter expert on key trends in client acquisition. • Aggregate insights from the internal business development organization with industry data on the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel and key competitors. • Project work may include market sizing, customer research, financial analysis, statistical analysis, competitive research, and growth strategy, all with a focus on the Registered Investment Advisor industry. This role would play a key role in defining new opportunities for client acquisition in one of Schwab’s key lines of business. Technical/Functional Qualifications: • Highly client-oriented with demonstrated experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into strategic recommendations (required) • Experience working with sales and business development organizations (preferred) • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize data, develop recommendations, influence partners and report on status (required) • Strong analytical skills to assess trends and program effectiveness (required) • Ability to work cross-functionally and in team environments (required) • A ‘can-do’, results-oriented approach to business with a high level of self-motivation (required) • Bachelor’s degree (required) • MBA (preferred). • 5+ years experience in business strategy, marketing, or Sales (required) • 3+ years in the financial services industry; experience with the advisor market (preferred)
