ASU part-time employment opportunity: Management Intern

This part-time (20 hours per week), grant-funded position will assist with facilitating connections and communications among a large network of ASU entrepreneurship programs, projects and people.

The ASU Office of University Initiatives is seeking a Management Intern for the Entrepreneurship at ASU initiative. Entrepreneurship at ASU (http://entrepreneurship.asu.edu) is an effort to promote a culture of academic enterprise and innovation across ASU’s campuses, for students and faculty in every discipline.

The Management Intern position was created in response to increases in the scope and intensity of the initiative’s activities. The Management Intern will assist in advancing the initiative by connecting entrepreneurship efforts and developing compelling communications. It is well suited for individuals that thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment with the opportunity to learn and grow.

The position is supported fully by grant funding and is eligible for university benefits, including health insurance and tuition waiver for self, spouse and dependents.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist in advancing the Entrepreneurship at ASU initiative by making connections between programs and stakeholders.
· Identify and act on opportunities to strengthen relationships and enhance programs.
· Coordinate communications between ASU entrepreneurship initiative programs, faculty and staff.
· Gather information and write compelling communications including reports, memos, letters, web site content, etc. for both targeted and broad distribution.
Key Qualifications
· Experience developing written communications for general distribution.
· Skill in presenting information effectively.
· Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
· Experience working on collaborative and complex projects or programs.
· Experience planning and coordinating events, workshops and conferences.
· Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving and decision making.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
